In census of Cape St. George there are two different and incorrect spellings for the families of William Reubau and Allen Reuban. Both William and Allen are brothers and the sons of Guilliame Robin. Robin is the actual family name. Allen Robin is my husband's paternal grandfather. After many years of misprounciation and misspellings the family name Robin became Rubia; or in some cases Robia. Other misspellings of the name have been: Roban (also from Census of 1921), Ruba and Roba (Census of 1904) and f inally Reaban (Census of 1935). Guilliame Robin was orginally from Roche Devrien, Brittany, France.
