Leblanc published 25 March 1948 Les Doucet Pierre Doucet de Margaree, Cap-Breton, vint s'etablir a Port au Port vers 1847, et rein n'indique s'il etait marie avant son arrivee a Terre-Neuve. Il y a ajourd'hui plusieurs familles de Doucette a Port au Port, Stephenville et St. Georges, tons descendants de Pierre Doucet. (Translation by Leo Doucet) Pierre Doucet from Margaree, Cape Breton established himself at Port au Port around 1847 and nothing indicates that he was married before his arrival in Newfoundland. There are today several Doucette families in Port au Port, Stephenville and St. Georges.
