Green, Jacqueline | Jacqueline Green, formerly of Welland, passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Friday, December 31, 1999 in her 47th year. Loving mother of Ron Paquette and Tammie (Paquette) Atkins and husband Jamie. Sadly missed but never forgotten by grandchildren Tia and Tye Atkins. Dear sister of Wayne, Henry, Ron, Winston & Derek Green, Cynthia Green, Sadie Wheeler & Silvia Green. Predeceased by her parents Henry & Florence Green. Born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Jacqueline lived in Toronto and the Niagara Region before settling down in Stoney Creek. She was a Member of St. Francis of Xavier, Stoney Creek. Friends called at the Cudney Funeral Chapel, 241 West Main Street, Welland. Father Ken Burns c.s.c. conducted a private funeral service from Cudney Chapel. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Hamilton General Hospital I.C.U. would be greatly appreciated by the family. O'Toole announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Sunday, January 2, 2000 at the age of 97 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Clothilda (Tillie) and four sons: Vincent (Charlotte) O'Toole in Labrador City, Jimmy (Jacquie) O'Toole in Ontario, Leonard (Mercedes) O'Toole in Labrador City, Anthony O'Toole in Point au Mal and six daughters: Ida Hawco in Port au Port, Irene Green in Florida, Mary (William) Bruce in Port au Port East, Imelda (Aloysius) Connors in Ottawa, Theresa (Albert) Murray in Labrador City, Debbie (Roger) Boone in New Brunswick and 25 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by one son, Joseph O'Toole. Friends may call at the St. Vincent de Paul Church in Point au Mal on Tuesday. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, January 5th at 2:00 p.m. from the St. Vincent de Paul Church in Point au Mal with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Point au Mal. She will be sadly missed by her loving family: daughters: Geraldine Quigley (Thomas) of Curling, Shirley Aronson of Toronto, ON, Regina Bastien of Wilberforce, ON and Catherine English of Beaverton, ON; son, Michael Thompson of Abbottsford, BC; sister Victoria Hackett of Pasadena, NF; 25 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband, Jeremiah O'Connell, her second husband Albert Thompson; children, Philip O'Connell, John O'Connell, Jeremiah O'Connell Jr. and Patricia O'Connell; parents, John and Elizabeth Curley and brothers, Alton and Philip Curley. Visitation will take place at Wellington Funeral Home on Tuesday during the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church in Benoit's Cove. Loving husband of 62 years to the former Elizabeth Wilton, formerly of Deer Lake. Joseph was a member of St. George's of Forest Hill Anglican Church. Dear father to Tom and his wife Jean, Bernard, Douglas and his wife Judy, Fred and his wife Lisa, Robert and his wife Susan, Lillian Campbell, Myra and her husband Roy Dennis, Arlene and her husband Ray Dwyer, Diane and her husband Fred Williams, Helen and her husband John Curtis, Valerie and her husband Bill Dollner, Louise and her husband Dan Hounsell, Sharon, Sandra and her husband Doug Woodhouse**See Erratta Table below; brother to Armine Sturge; 32 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren also survive. Matchem, Jessie | Interfaith Home Corner Brook, NF Passed away Thursday, January 6, 2000 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Jessie Matchem in her 89th year. She will be sadly missed by her sons: Tom and wife Joyce of Jeffrey's, Frank and wife Cynthia, Victoria, BC; daughter-in-law Dulcie Matchem of Mississauga, ON; brother Samuel Spencer of Port aux Basques; 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Philip Matchem, 1991, and her son Samuel. The family will be receiving friends from St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church, Jeffrey's on Friday, followed by the funeral service Saturday January 8th at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Stewart Bellows officiating.
