Will of John Harris

IN RE:   JOHN HARRIS.    DECEASED

This is the last Will and Testament of me John Harris of Humbermouth. Bay of Islands, Newfoundland, made this Sixteenth day of April in the year of our Lord Nineteen Hundred and twenty six.

I hereby revoke all wills made by me at any time heretofore. I appoint John Stewart and Florence Ash Executor and Executrix and direct that all my funeral expenses and debts if any be paid and a headstone purchased to mark my resting place as soon after as conveniently may be after my decease.

I give and bequeath to my daughters Florence Ash the sum of One Hundred dollars to my daughter Olive Martin One Hundred dollars to my daughter Louisa Grillam One Hundred dollars. To my three youngest daughters Janet Harris, Ursula Harris & Lorine Harris I give and bequeath the balance of cash still remaining together with dwelling house furniture Barn and Store also horse, Sleigh Slide and all movable effects with and outside of dwelling house which shall be sold and the proceeds equally divided between my three youngest daughters afore named.

I give and bequeath to my six daughters Florence Ash, Olive Martin, Louisa Grillam, Janet Harris, Ursula Harris and Lorine Harris an equal share of all land in my possession at the time of my death each taking the portion to them allotted by my Executor and Executrix of this my last will and testament. I also direct that should either of my three youngest daughters die before they become of age that her portion be equally divided between the other two youngest daughters.
