Will of Albert Simon

In re: ALBERT SIMON. DECEASED.

In the name of God, Amen. I, Albert Simon of Stephenville, District of St. George’s, Newfoundland, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made.

As to such estate as it hath pleased God to intrust me with, I dispose of the same as follows, namely, I give, devise and bequeath to my son Frederick Simon at present in the City of New York. U.S.A. all my land at Stephenville, consisting of forty-five acres more or less and bounded as follows, that is to say on the North by Crown land, on the South by the waters of Bay St. George on the East by land owned by Philip Aucon and on the West by land owned by Mary Aucoin, together with all buildings and erections thereon, namely a dwelling house, one barn and outhouse, one Store by the roadside, one fishing Store at the Sea Shore with all their contents and belongings and also my dories, engines and fishing gear of all descriptions whatsoever.

To my son William Simon I give and bequeath my farm of land at Stephenville now occupied by him measuring forty eight acres and bounded as follows on the North by a reserved road on the South by the waters of Bay St. George on the East by land owned by Henry Young and Albert March and the West by land owned by Dominic Bourgeais, together with all buildings and erections thereon or belonging thereto.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I, the said Albert Simon have to this my last will and testament, subscribed my hand name and affixed my Seal this Sixteenth day of November One thousand nine hundred and twenty three. ALBERT SIMON.
Signed, Sealed, published and declared by the said Albert Simon, as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us, who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
