Will of Joseph Charles LeScelleur
In re the estate of

Joseph Charles LeScelleur.

Know all men by these presents that I Joseph Charles LeScelleur of St. Heliers(?) Jersey(?) Merchant, and now residing at LaPoile Newfoundland, being in good health, and of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament.

First, I hereby constitute and appoint my wife Esther Susanna LeScelleur, to be my sole executrix of this my last will directing my said executrix to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses

Second, after the payment of my debts and funeral expenses I devise to my said executrix, all I possess at the time of my death both in Jersey and Newfoundland, and at her death the whole of what she may be possessed of to be divided in equal proportions amongst my children or their surviving children should any of them die first. In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal and publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in the presence of the witnesses named below this twenty-first day of May in the year eighteen hundred and ninety
