THE WILL OF JOHN GRINWAY/GRINAWAY - 1773

 

THE PREROGATIVE COURT OF CANTERBURY

In the Name of God Amen the twelfth day of March 1773. I JOHN GRINAWAY in the parish of HEAVY TREE in the COUNTY of DEVON but now in the Island of Newfoundland Planter in the HARBOUR OF CROKE I being very sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God I do make my last Will and Testament (that is to say) first I give to my well beloved Sister the DAUGHTER of THOMAS GRINAWAY whom I likewise constitute make and ordain my Executrix of this my Will and Testament all my money that my Winters and Summers voyage may or will produce by her freely to be enjoyed and I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former Testaments Wills Legacies and Executors by me in any ways before named Willed and ? ratifying this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written. Signed published pronounced and declared by the said JOHN GRINWAY as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us the subscribers JOHN GRINWAY x his mark.
