January 1st 1920 Thu. 1st __ Here begins 1920! Our boy George H. Pearce is 3 years old today. My leg is giving my a lot of trouble lately. I believe it is rising again. Office hours today 9 to 10 am & 5 to 6 pm. White Bay again full of slob ice. Nothing being done here today, dull times! The weather: splendid day; fine & sunny; mod. W.N.W. wind. About 7 inches of new snow fell yesterday & last night. 3 PM: Bar 29.71; ther. 17°.0; Rel. Hum. 80.0%; Bar at 9 pm 29.71.
