In re: JOHN MCCARTHY DECEASED.

In the name of God Amen. I John McCarthy being of sound mind and of good memory and understanding do make this my last will and testament first I give and bequeath in trust to Richard McCarthy and my son Felix McCarthy the money due to me on my life insurance policy viz- one thousand dollars also all monies now in my possession, or may hereafter come in my possession for the support of my dear wife and my four unmarried daughters as they may from time to time require it. I give and bequeath to my dear wife and my four unmarried daughters the use of my present dwelling house, furniture and garden belonging thereto during my wife’s lifetime and as long as my daughters remain single or unmarried. I give and bequeath to my son Felix my western waterside premises, and I give and bequeath to my sons Felix and Charles jointly my shop and present dwelling house under and subject to the aforesaid conditions and exceptions. I give and bequeath to my son Francis my eastern waterside premises. I give and bequeath in trust to my aforesaid trustees for my son Nicholas John that piece of land on the north side of Water Street immediately east of Ambrose Forward’s premises. I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary the sum ten pounds cy and to Revd Father O’Connor the sum of five pounds cy to be paid out of the estate. I give and bequeath my other dwelling house to the general estate. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the fifth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy three.
