In re: JAMES MURPHY. DECEASED.
In the name of God. Amen. I James Murphy being rather weak in body but strong in memory do make this my last will and testimony. I James Murphy first bequeath my soul to God, my body to the earth.
I direct that all my debts and testamentary expenses be paid and satisfied, by executor hereinafter named. I give and bequeath to my two sons John and Peter all the land I have in my possession to be equally divided between them.
I direct that my wife Mary Ann will have compl control over Peter’s share of my property, and if he does not remain home, his portion after my wife’s death, will go to my son John (that is Peter’s part known as Jearn’s) I give and bequeath to my two daughters Ann and Mary one hundred dollars each to be paid them out of my estate when each comes of age, and a home while they wish to stay here.
- I give and bequeath all the live stock of my farm to my wife Mary Ann and also all the farm utensils. And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint Edward Connolly to be executor to this my last will and testament.
I declare this to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I the said James Murphy have to this my last will and testament set my hand the fifth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six (1906) (Sigd) James his X mark Murphy. Signed by testator. Signed and delivered in presence of Edward Connolly, William Sinnott, Attesting witness.
