In re: EMMA JULIA DITCHAM DECEASED.

Probate Engrossment. This is the last will and testament of me Emma Julia Ditcham of Tremorvah, Dartmouth. I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be paid and satisfied by my executor hereinafter named as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.

I give devise and bequeath all and every my household furniture linen and wearing apparel books plate pictures china horses carts and carriages and also all and every sum and sums of money which may be found in my house or about my person or due to me at the time of my decease and all my stocks funds and securities for money book debts money on bonds bills notes or other securities and all and every other my estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever both real and personal whether in possession or reversion remainder or expectancy unto my husband William Phillip Ditchman to and for his own use and benefit absolutely. And I nominate constitute and appoint the said William Phillip Ditchman to be the executor of this my Will and hereby revoking all former or other wills and testaments by me at any time heretofore made. I declare this to be my last will and testament

In witness whereof I the said Emma Julia Ditchman have to this my last will and testament set my hand the third day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and one----------- Emma Julia Ditchman Signed by the Testatrix Emma Julia Ditchman and acknowledged by her to be her last will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time and subscribed by us in the presence of the said Testatrix and of each other------- Charles I.W. Seymour Bank manager, Duke Street Dartmouth----- [Seal] Probate Engrossment.--------

A codicil to my Will which said Will I hereby confirm the said Will bearing date the third day of January 1901. In the event of and should my executor William Phillip Ditchman to whom I have left all and every my estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever both real and personal whether in possession reversion remainder or expectancy die during my lifetime I hereby appoint my only daughter Aveline Scott Ditchman Sole Executrix of my aforesaid Will and leave to the said Aveline Scott Ditchman all my aforesaid estate and effects to and for her own use and benefit absolutely subject to a yearly payment of one hundred pounds to my son William Ditchman during his lifetime and payable quarterly. The said William Ditchman to have no power to aleniate assign sell or transfer any rights in this annuity either of which acts will annul same----- Emma Julia Ditcham
