In re: ANDREW TASKER DECEASED.
I Andrew Tasker Merchant in Greenock for the love and favour which I have and bear to Marion Jack Paterson or Tasker my spouse and for other good causes and considerations do hereby give grant assign and dispose to and in favour of the said Marion Jack Paterson or Tasker and her heirs and assignees whomsoever heritably and irredeemably my whole means and estate heritable and moveable real and personal wherever situated or addebted which shall belong or be addebted to me at the time of my death with the whole vouchers and instructions of the said moveable and personal estate and the writs and evident of my said heritable estate and all that has followed or may be compatent to follow hereon; And for rendering these presents more effectual I nominate and appoint the said Marion Jack Paterson or Tasker to be my sole executrix and universal legatrix with full power to her to intromit with the whole estate hereby conveyed to give up inventories thereof and to confirm the same: But declaring always that the said Marion Jack Paterson or Tasker and her foresaids shall be bound and obliged as by acceptation thereof they Bind and oblige themselves to make payment out of the first and readiest of the estate hereby conveyed of all my just and lawful debts deathbed and funeral expenses and of any gifts and legacies I may think proper to leave by any codicil to or Memorandum or Writing under my hand which shall be valid and effectual altho’ neither holograph or tested Reserving always to myself my own liferent of the premises with full power to me to alter innovate or revoke these presents in whole or in part at any time in my life and even on deathbed: But declaring that in so far as these presents shall not be altered or revoked the same shall be valid and effectual though found lying in my own custody or in the custody of any other person for my behoof, undelivered at the time of my death with the delivery whereof I hereby dispense forever And I consent to registration hereof for preservation: In witness whereof these presents written by John Park Clerk to Hugh Dempster Writer in Greenock are subscribed by me at Greenock upon the twenty sixth day of April in the year eighteen hundred and sixty nine before these witnesses the said Hugh Dempster and the said John Park (signed)
