In re WILLIAM JANES MARTIN deceased.
I William Janes Martin of New Perlican being of sound and disposing mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this life do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament as follows
First I desire that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses shall be paid by my executors out of my estate
Second I appoint my wife Elizabeth Martin and Mr. Luke Pittman of New Perlican executors of this my last will and testament
First I bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Martin for her sole use and benefit the sum of One thousand dollars which shall be payable under the Policy of Insurance upon my life in the Orange Mutual Insurance Company out of any moneys which shall remain on deposit in Bank at the time of my death I also bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Martin nine hundred dollars for her sole use and benefit
The following sums then I leave to my children
First to my son Walter the sum of Five hundred dollars
Second to my son Marcus John Five hundred dollars
Third to my son Henery Five hundred dollars
Fourth to my daughter Nettie May one hundred dollars
Fifth to my daughter Lilian Moore at Hearts Content the sum of fifty dollars
also to my eldest son William one hundred dollars also the dwelling house and land surrounding said house that he now occupy to be his forever and my waterside situated between my brother James Martins and Robert Snooks to be his also
Then I give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Martin for and during her lifetime the use of the dwelling house in which I now reside together with the land and appurtenant thereto and the household goods and furniture contained therein and not to be removed or taken therefrom Upon the death of my said wife I give devise and bequeath the said dwelling house together with the land appurtenant thereto and the household goods to my son Henery Martin for his sole use and benefit forever
All the rest residue and remainder of my property estate and effects not hereinbefore specifically disposed of I give and bequeath to my three children namely Walter Marcus and Henery as to my vessel the Huron she is to be sold and my debts paid and whatever remains shall be equally divided between my three sons namely Walter Marcus and Henery I also appoint my son Walter Martin to conduct my affairs after my decease In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand at New Perlican this nineteenth of August nineteen hundred and thirteen Signed published and declared by the testator as and for his last will and testament in our presence who in the presence of the testator and of each other all present at the same time have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses William X his mark Janes Martin Charles Pittman.
