In re: THEOPHILUS SHEPPARD. DECEASED. FIRST: I give, devise and bequeath to my son, Hubert Sheppard, his heirs and assigns for ever, my Dwelling House and furniture, together with the fenced land surrounding it. SECOND: I give, devise and bequeath to my sons, Hubert Sheppard, and Kenneth Sheppard, my stores, flake, boat and fishing gear, to be divided between them share and share alike. THIRD: I give, devise and bequeath to my two sons, Hubert and Kenneth, the rest of my land, not mentioned above, to be divided between them share and share alike. FOURTH: I give, devise and bequeath unto my five children, Hubert Sheppard. Kenneth Sheppard, Frank Sheppard, Jessie white and Elsie Courage, whatever money I may possess at the time of my death, to be divided among them share and share alike. FIFTH: I hereby appoint the Eastern Trust Co. executor of this my last Will and testament. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I, Theophilus Sheppard, the testator, have to this my last Will and testament set my hand and my seal this thirty-first day of July, A.D. 1924. WHEREAS, I, Theophilus Sheppard, did on the thirty-first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and twenty four, make my last Will and testament, I do now by this writing add this Codicil to my said Will, to be taken as a part thereof. WHEREAS I have solemnly promised to erect a memorial Reredos in St. Peter's Church, in Catalina, to the memory of my two sons, Norman and Harold, I hereby give and bequeath unto the Incumbent and Church-Wardens of St. Peters Church, the balance of the late Norman Sheppard's personal account held by the Fishermen's Union Trading Company, to be used for the purpose of the said memorial. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I hereunto place my hand and seal this thirty-first day of July, 1924. Signed, Sealed, published & declared to us by the testator, Theophilus Sheppard, as and for a Codicil to be annexed to his last Will and testament. And we at his request, and in his presence, and in the presence of each other, have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto, this thirty-first day of July, 1924, A.D. S.J. Bishop, Notary Public. |
