In re: LEAH WALTERS DECEASED

Know all men by these Presents, That I Leah Walters, relict of the late John Walters of Champneys East, in the District of Trinity, in the Island of Newfoundland; being in ill health but of a sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish, this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. And as to my worldly estate, and all the property, real, personal, or mixed, of which I shall die seized and possessed, or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease, I devise, bequeath and dispose of in the manner following, to wit

FIRST: My will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall, by my executor herein after named, be paid out of my estate, as soon after my decease as shall be found convenient.

ITEM: I give devise and bequeath to my beloved step son Ernest Harrold Walters all my interest and possessions in re. My deceased Husband's property; viz. Dwelling house, the adjoining Shop and stock of goods therein, stores and waterside premises. Cod trap and moorings etc., pertaining thereto. A Cow, horse, sheep with all my part and portion of cultivated land.

ITEM: I give and bequeath to Ernest Harold Walters the sum of one hundred dollars current money of this Dominion, to Sarah Courtenay Greenland one hundred, To Margaret, wife of Richard Duling one hundred, to Mary Martha Walters, daughter of William Jas. Walters Fifty dollars, and to Frederick John Infield Walters, son of Joseph Walters, Fifty dollars.

ITEM: I give and bequeath one hundred dollars each to my brother Robert Warren and my sister Eliza Pittman, or their successors To my nephews Ronald McKensy, and William Robert Pittman the sum of Fifty dollars each, and to Robert Warren, son of Robert Fifty dollars. To Leah daughter of my nephew William Warren Fifty dollars and to Leah Follett, of Winterton, daughter of my niece Elizabeth Follett Fifty dollars.

ITEM: I give, devise, and bequeath to the Church of Saint Nicholas, Champneys, the sum of one hundred dollars. And, I do nominate and appoint Mr. Luke Pittman. J. P. Of New Perlican, to be my sole executor of this my last will and testament & whose expenses in connection with the executing thereof shall be paid out of my estate.

And lastly, I give and bequeath to my niece Annie Louise Warren all my remaining money. In testimony whereof, I, the said Leah Walters, have to this, my last will and testament, contained in one sheet of paper, subscribed my name and affixed my seal this twentieth day of October in the year of Our Lord One thousand nine hundred and twenty one.
