Will of John Thomas Stone from Newfoundland will books volume 10 pages 224-225 probate year 1914

In  re   JOHN T. STONE. deceased

    I John Thomas Stone, of White Rock, Smith’s Sound, in the Electoral District of Trinity Bay, Newfoundland, being of sound mind and understanding, do hereby make this my last will and testament.
1. I give and bequeath to my executors, hereinafter mentioned, in trust for my son, Harold John Stone, all my personal moneys of which I may die possessed, saving the sum of Five hundred dollars, which is to be taken by my executors from my estate and divided in two equal shares of two hundred and fifty dollars each between my two daughters Lily Mary Stone and Mabel Gladys Stone, which two amounts my executors will hold in trust for my said two daughters Lily Mary and Mabel Gladys for their general interest and welfare, they my said executors having the right to expend any portion of these said shares for the welfare and advancement in life of my said daughters Lily Mary and Mabel Gladys during their minority.
2. I desire that my executors do set aside Five hundred dollars of that which is held in trust for my son Harold John, for his upbringing and education, so that as far as possible he may have those advantages in life which an education is calculated to yield.
3. The balance of whatever moneys may come to my son Harold John under this my will is his unreservedly, held in trust by my executors for his general welfare and advancement in life in whatever trade or profession he may pursue; but I should also like it to be understood that should either of my two daughters be in distress or difficulty at any time during which the money is held in trust for my son Harold John that they my executors are hereby empowered to help either of my said daughters Lily Mary and Mabel Gladys from this balance of moneys held in trust for my son Harold John:     and further that I desire my said son Harold John to respect this my wish towards my daughters given to my executors under this my will at any time after he comes of age.
4. I appoint Rev. Hugh William Facey Clerk in Holy Orders, Incumbent of the Mission of Smith’s Sound, now living at White Rock, in Smith’s Sound, and my brother Harold Stone, of White Rock Smith’s Sound the executors of this my will.     Dated at White Rock, Smith’s Sound, this thirteenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.     In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, John Thomas Stone (LS) White Rock Smith’s Sound.     Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of us, who in the presence of each other have hereunto affixed our names as witnesses.     Witnesses William Frampton, Gin Cove, T.B.
