Will of John Ivamey

In re: JOHN IVAMEY. DECEASED.

This the last will and testament of me John Ivamy of James of Kerley’s Harbor, Trinity, Trinity Bay in the Island of Newfoundland Planter and Fisherman which I do make and publish as follows, being of sound mind but weak in body that is to say all my estate real and personal, all lands houses goods fishing tackle, household furniture effects and chattels of every description I do hereby give and bequeath to my beloved wife for the term of her natural life for her own sole use and benefit, and prior to her death, or at the time thereof she is at perfect liberty to will the same to whom she, my dearly beloved wife, Elizabeth Ivamy, may think proper. Should she not have sold the same previously and she is hereby duly authorized to sell the same should she think proper so to do. I do hereby appoint my aforesaid wife Elizabeth Ivamy as my sole executrix and hereby annulling all former wills and testaments codicils and bequests I do hereunto attach my hand and seal this tenth day of May Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and sixty eight
