In re: JAMES NOLAN. DECEASED.
This is the last Will and Testament of the undersigned James Nolan Master Mariner of Catalina in the Electoral District of Trinity Bay in the Island of Newfoundland I James Nolan being of sound mind but in infirm health do hereby will, devise and bequeath as follows, namely:
To my son Robert all that piece or parcel of land with dwelling house outhouses and all erections thereon to the salt water and bounded by land belonging to Peter Diamond on the East and by land belonging to Thomas Nolan on the West.
To my sons James and Frederick all that piece or parcel of land together with the dwelling house furniture outhouses, Store, Wharf and Boats and flake etc and bounded as follows On the East by Thomas Nolan's land and on the West by land belonging to John Nolan, and whatever else I may die in possession of, the whole to become theirs after the death of my wife Alice Nolan.
I also bequeath to my 2 sons James and Frederick another piece or parcel of land with Stable thereon and bounded as follows on the East by Thomas Nolan's land and on the West by land owned by John Nolan. Also another piece of land bounded by Peter Diamond's land on the East and by Thomas Nolan's land on the West. Also a piece of land adjoining or near to the Roman Catholic Cemetery, unfenced, and bounded on the South by the road leading to Little Pond and on the North by land owned by Edward Ryan now deceased.
I further state that after my death my heirs do purchase a head stone and have same erected to my memory and that they shall have a Requiem Mass said for the repose of my soul.
I do further will that my son James be appointed my sole executor and that as shall receive for his services a Commission of 2 ½%, two and one half per cent.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal at Catalina aforesaid this the Eleventh day of January in the year of Our Lord One thousand nine hundred and Sixteen
