In re: EDWARD GUY. DECEASED.

This is the last will and testament of me Edward Guy native of Poole in the County of Dorset England, now residing at Cataline NFLD. I Edward Guy being of sound mind do hereby (without coercion) will devise and bequeath as follows, viz:

- to my son Marke Guy the west half of my dwelling house, the furniture thereof, the land, waterside and other, with the store there upon erected, from the said waterside inclusive thereof, and back to Charles Granger’s house, my forge, tools, &c. &c. the whole of the potato garden together with 1/3 one third of the meadow bounded North by my forge and south by Ebenezer Hunt’s property, and all the before said land, house forge &c. &c.

I do of my own free will devise and bequeath to my son the said Marke Guy, the whole to become his indisputable property immediately after the death of his mother and the testator.

To my son Joseph Guy the sum of five shillings and no more the said sum to be paid him as soon as after my death as possible-

To my grandson William Trapnell the east half of my dwelling house now occupied by my son Joseph Guy together with the one third of the meadow willed to my son Marke Guy- the whole with the proviso that he the said William Trapnell shall live with my son the said Mark Guy until he shall arrive at the age of one and twenty years, should he not then require it all his share shall become and remain the property of my son Mark Guy

To my grandson Edward Guy Crane I will the other two-thirds of my meadow hereinbefore specified To my grandson Edward Guy son of Edward Guy Junr the jibe corner piece of land at the back of his father’s forge, nearly in front of my dwelling- And in conclusion I do hereby order Marke Guy two years after my and his mother’s death, to pay to each of his four sisters the sum of One pound £1..0..0 cy And I hereby nominate constitute and appoint William Badcock as the sole executor of this my will and revoking any other will or disposition of my property made by me at any time heretofore do declare this to be my last will and testament- In witness whereof I the said Edward Guy have to this my last will and testament signed my hand and affixed my seal this 24th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy seven-
