Nathaniel Howell deceased

In the name of God, Amen. The sixth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety. I Nathaniel Howell, of the Harbour of Hearts Content, Fishermen being through the blessing of God, in a sound mind and memory, but calling to mind the frail tenure of this life, and that it is appointed to all men, once to die, do make and ordain this my last will and testament, that is to say, I give, bequeath and dispose of the property to which I am or maybe, entitled to in the manner and proportions here following: viz.

First. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Ellen as long as she holds her name my House, and land, and all I possess as long as she lives, and after her Death to become the property of my dear Sons, Mark and Peter Howell. And I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke and disannul all and every other former testaments, wills, legacies, bequests and executors by me in any way before named, willed and bequeathed, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written Nathaniel his X mark Howell. Signed sealed pronounced and declared by said Nathaniel Howell at his last will and testament in the presence of us the subscribers witnesses William Lever William Udell Hopkins
