Mouse Island Cemeteries

In the first Mouse Island Cemetery there are 3 headstones in a small piece of ground alongside the road. The fellow that lives next door told us that there are many there without markers. I am unsure what religious denomination this would be.

The second cemetery we visited was located out near the bank. The fellow who gave us directions informed us that when someone was buried they had to be carried out to the cemetery by hand bars. The cemetery was about a five minute walk over the marsh/bog/rocks. Very overgrown. I am unsure what religious denomination this cemetery is.

Headstone inscriptions were transcribed by BRENDA JANES, summer 2001. While I have endeavored to be as correct as humanly possible, there could be some typographical errors.
