Will of William Wadman

IN RE:   WILLIAM WADMAN.    DECEASED

Know all men by these presents, that I William Wadman, of Rose Blanche, in the Southern District of Newfoundland, Trader, being in good health and of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made.

First I hereby constitute and appoint Richard Furneaux, and James LeMoine, both of Rose Blanche aforesaid, Collector of Customs and Tidewaiter respectively, to be executors of this my last will; directing my said executors to pay all my debts and funeral expenses; to collect all debts due my estate: to place all cash belonging to my estate in The Union Bank of Halifax, at North Sydney, N.S. to the credit of said estate; and to pay the legacies hereinafter given from the same.

Second. I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Dinah, wife of John T. Ingram, and to my son George, the sum of Eight Hundred Dollars ($800) each

Third. I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Eva, wife of Duncan McIsaac, the sum of Four Hundred Dollars ($400)

Fourth. I hereby direct my executors to pay unto my widow the sum of one Hundred and Sixty Dollars ($160) per annum, until the balance of cash remaining in the Bank to the credit of my estate (after provided for the herein before mentioned legacies) shall become exhausted; but should my said widow die or marry again before the sum remaining in the Bank with interest thereunto accruing shall have been expended then the balance remaining is to be divided between my daughter Dinah, and my son George, share and share alike.

Fifth I hereby direct that my widow is to have the exclusive use of all my real estate situated in Rose Blanche, aforesaid, until her death or re-marriage and while she continues to reside in Rose Blanche but should she marry again or leave Rose Blanche to permanently reside elsewhere then the said real estate is to be divided between my daughter Dinah and my son George, share and share alike.

Sixth I give devise and bequeath unto my wife absolutely all goods of every description remaining in my shop at Rose Blanche aforesaid.

Lastly I hereby direct my executors that my insurance monies may be left to the estate and divided with the estate according to the other monies granted. Whereof I herein set my hand and publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in the presence of the witnesses named below William Wadman Signed by the said William Wadman the testator, in the presence of us, who in his presence and in the presence of each other at the same time subscribe our names as witnesses.
