Will of Lambert Forward

IN RE:   LAMBERT FORWARD.    DECEASED

This is the last will and testament of me Lambert Forward of Burgeo in the Dt. Of Burgeo and Lapoile in the Island of Newfoundland Mariner and I hereby revoke all other wills heretofore made by me.

I give and bequeath to my daughter Maud Forward of Burgeo my house household goods which shall be in or about the dwelling at the time of my decease also the store and other out houses land gardens and the cow included as absolutely hers, should she desire to sell the same my son Henry Forward shall be given the first chance to purchase and the amount that the said Maud Forward is to receive as payment from him is not to exceed two hundred dollars. If the said Henry Forward does not care to purchase my sons Robert Forward or John Forward or his sons are to have the same privilege to purchase the said dwelling house and lands.

All cash on hand and invested at the time of my decease shall be held in trust by my executors for the benefit of my daughter Maud Forward and a further amount of the trust fund is to be used for her benefit what ever amount my executors may think necessary for her support untill the time of her marriage After her marriage whatever sum of money may be left from this fund is to be equally divided among all my daughters and sons or their children.

The piece of hay land at the Barrachoix I give and to my Grand son Augustus Moulton as absolutely his.

My son John Forward and his sons are to have the land at the northside of the public road which divides his house from mine and further my son John and his sons are to have the right of way to the waterside over the said land on which my dwelling house stands by the path which he now uses and the right to have and keep a stage or store thereon forever

And I appoint my son in law John Moulton and my friend Joseph Small executors of this my last will and testament In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this First day of April one thousand nine hundred and twelve sgd. L. Forward (LS) witnesses to the signature of Lambert Forward Jane S. Diccks Joseph Small. J.P.
