Will of James Chalk from Newfoundland will books volume 10 page 320 probate year 1915

In re     JAMES CHALK      deceased.

    I James Chalk of Mouse Island in the District of Burgeo and LaPoile Newfoundland do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say
I. I give devise and bequeath to my wife Maggie Chalk, all my property consisting of dwelling house, lands, store house, boats and all other property not herein specified said property to be hers, as long as she retains her present name-
    II. In the event of my wife Maggie Chalk marrying again, the said property shall be divided equally between my two children, John Thomas Chalk and George Eli Chalk-
    III. I hereby appoint Thomas Chalk my brother to be sole executor of this my last will and testament-     Signed James his X mark Chalk     Signed by the testator (and declared by him to be his last will and testament) in our presence, who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names this eighteenth day of September one thousand nine hundred and thirteen-     Witnesses John his X mark Chalk     Eli his X mark Lomond     Witness of signatures H.J. Read.
