This is the last will and testament of Charles Sheaves of Port aux Basques District of Burgeo and LaPoile Newfoundland, I Charles Sheaves of Port aux Basques District Burgeo and LaPoile Newfoundland being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following That is to say

1. I give devise and bequest to my beloved wife Elizabeth Sheaves all monies that may be in my possession

2. I give devise and bequeath to my son Lewis Sheaves my house with effects, stage fishing gear, and all other personal property not otherwise specified. The said Lewis Sheaves to look to his mother Elizabeth Sheaves and to give her a home as long as she lives and also to give a home to his sister Frances Sheaves until such a time that she may leave or marry.

3. I further give to be divided between my sons William and Lewis Sheaves the land now in my possession as shown by grant provided that a portion of Williams land shall (if required by my son Charles for building purposes) be given to him and a portion of my son Lewis land be given to my son Israel when required by him

I hereby appoint Lewis Sheaves to be sole executor of this my will

In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand this Twelfth day of June one thousand nine hundred and three. Charles his X mark Sheaves
