In re
John Keating deceased Know all men by these presents that I John Keating of Channel in the Southern District of the Island of Newfoundland, Blacksmith, being in good health and of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made. First. I hereby constitute and appoint Nathan Smith Telegrapher and Philip G. Clement Merchant both of Channel aforesaid, to be Executors of this my last will directing my said Executors to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses and to carry out my instructions hereinafter given. Second- after payment of my said debts and funeral expenses I hereby direct that during the lifetime or until the remarriage of my wife Elizabeth Keating she shall have the sole use and (?)ing the l(???)ift of all property and the rental of all property real personal (???) of which I shall die sized(?) and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease, including the interest that shall be earned of any money possessed by me at the time of my decease, but should my said wife Elizabeth Keating marry again she shall then forfeit all claim to any use of or interest in any portion of my said estate. Third- That at the death or remarriage of my said wife Elizabeth Keating, all of my aforesaid estate and personal or (???)ed shall be divided between my two grandsons John Thomas Sears Keating and William James Keating, share and share alike, and in case of the death of either of my aforesaid grandsons or of both then the share of such grandson or grandsons shall be divided between my remaining grandchildren share and share alike. In testimony whereof thereon to set my hand and publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in the presence of the witnesses named below, at Channel aforesaid this twenty sixth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety four.
