Will of Patrick J. Davis from Newfoundland will books volume 10 page 374 probate year 1916

In re     PATRICK J. DAVIS      deceased.

    In the name of God Amen this is the last will & testament of me Patrick J. Davis planter of Fox Harbor Placentia Bay     I appoint my brother Jas. J. Davis of Argentia as executor of this my last will & testament
    1st I will devise & bequeath to my wife & three children my life insurance share & share alike
    2nd My boats and all fishing gear I also bequeath to my wife & three children share 7 share alike
    3rd I will & bequeath my dwelling house & furniture & all the land attached to said dwelling house including stage stores & flakes in trust to my wife for for my daughter Nora until my wife gets married again & then the said house & furniture land stage stores & flakes are to become my daughter Nora’s property
    4th I will & bequeath to my mother the use of her rooms in dwelling house while she is alive
    5th The balance of my property which consists of father’s dwelling house two stores and shop the lower flake & ground the flake is built on, the meadow on the hill & medow at the Neck I will & bequeath to my two daughters Nellie & Presa share & share alike
    6th I will that my just debts be paid as soon as possible after my death
    7th I hereby revoke all wills by me hereto fore made     in witness where of I have here unto set my hand at Fox Hr this 23rd day of January A.D. one thousand nine hundred & fifteen     First read over & explained     Patrick Davis     Signed by the testator and acknowledged by him to be his last will & testament who in his presence and in the presence of each other at the same time at his request we have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses John Leary     John Spurvey
