Will of John Reddy
IN RE: JOHN REDDY. DECEASED This is the last Will and Testament of me, John Reddy, of Red Island in the District of Placentia and St. Mary's, Merchant. I appoint James Vincent McCarthy of Red Island aforesaid, Merchant, and my wife, Vera Reddy, to be the executors of this my Will. 1. I give, devise and bequeath my dwelling house and the land upon which the same is situate and all my household furniture and effects to my wife, Vera Reddy, to be hers until her death or re-marriage, the same upon the happening of either such event to be the property of my children. 2. I give, devise and bequeath all other property of whatsoever kind and description of which I may die possessed to my said executors in trust for the following purposes: First:- to pay all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses. Secondly:- To realize all my business, stock-in-trade, book debts and business premises at the discretion of my said executors and to invest the proceeds thereof and to apply the income of any investments to my wife, Vera Reddy, until her death or re-marriage and upon the happening of either such event to divide such investments equally among my children. Thirdly:- I give to each of my executors the sum of One hundred dollars ($100.00) clear to be theirs absolutely. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand this eighth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand Nine hundred and twenty-two. JOHN REDDY. Signed Published and declared by the said Testator in the presence of us, both present at the same time, who in his presence and at his request have subscribed our names as witnesses, attesting the due execution hereof. A Codicil to the last Will and Testament of me John Reddy of Red Island in the Electoral District of Placentia West Merchant, said Will having been made by me on the Eighth day of April 1922 and attested by Frederick R. Emerson and Charles E. Hunt: 1. I revoke the paragraph of the said Will appointing James Vincent McCarthy joint Executor thereof with my wife Vera Reddy. 2. I appoint Garrett Ryan of Red Island Fisherman and my said wife to be jointly Executor and Executrix of my said Will and Codicil. 3. I revoke the gift to my Executors of One hundred dollars ($100.00) contained in the last paragraph of my said Will and substitute therefor a gift of Fifty dollars ($50.00) to each of them. In Witness Whereof I have set my hand hereto this Seventh day of May Anno Domini One thousand nine hundred and twenty-six. JOHN REDDY. Will of John Reddy

IN RE: JOHN REDDY. DECEASED

This is the last Will and Testament of me, John Reddy, of Red Island in the District of Placentia and St. Mary's, Merchant.

I appoint James Vincent McCarthy of Red Island aforesaid, Merchant, and my wife, Vera Reddy, to be the executors of this my Will.

1. I give, devise and bequeath my dwelling house and the land upon which the same is situate and all my household furniture and effects to my wife, Vera Reddy, to be hers until her death or re-marriage, the same upon the happening of either such event to be the property of my children.

2. I give, devise and bequeath all other property of whatsoever kind and description of which I may die possessed to my said executors in trust for the following purposes:

First:- to pay all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses.

Secondly:- To realize all my business, stock-in-trade, book debts and business premises at the discretion of my said executors and to invest the proceeds thereof and to apply the income of any investments to my wife, Vera Reddy, until her death or re-marriage and upon the happening of either such event to divide such investments equally among my children.

Thirdly:- I give to each of my executors the sum of One hundred dollars ($100.00) clear to be theirs absolutely.

In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand this eighth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand Nine hundred and twenty-two.

A Codicil to the last Will and Testament of me John Reddy of Red Island in the Electoral District of Placentia West Merchant, said Will having been made by me on the Eighth day of April 1922 and attested by Frederick R. Emerson and Charles E. Hunt:

1. I revoke the paragraph of the said Will appointing James Vincent McCarthy joint Executor thereof with my wife Vera Reddy.

2. I appoint Garrett Ryan of Red Island Fisherman and my said wife to be jointly Executor and Executrix of my said Will and Codicil.

3. I revoke the gift to my Executors of One hundred dollars ($100.00) contained in the last paragraph of my said Will and substitute therefor a gift of Fifty dollars ($50.00) to each of them.

In Witness Whereof I have set my hand hereto this Seventh day of May Anno Domini One thousand nine hundred and twenty-six.
