IN RE: JOHN LOCKYER. DECEASED
This is the last will and Testament of John Lockyer (of William) of Isle Valen in Placentia Bay I give and bequeath to my wife Lucretia Lockyer during her lifetime the interest of one Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($1600) lodged in the Bank of Montreal the principal at the decease of the said Lucretia Lockyer to be divided in manner following, that is to say one thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($1400) in equal portions among my sons William Frederick, Herman, Joseph, and Robert John, and the remaining Two Hundred Dollars ($200) in equal portions between my daughters Mary Jane and Charlotte. Provided that the first years interest on the whole principal of one Thousand Six Hundred Dollars shall be given to the church of England as a Donation towards rebuilding the church in this Settlement My dwelling house I leave to my wife during her lifetime said house to pass at her decease to my sons William Frederick and Robert John jointly And I give and bequeath to each of my sons William Frederick, Herman, Joseph and Robert John an equal share in the schooner "Little Hilda" And I hereby appoint my wife Lucretia Lockyer sole executrix of this my will.
