Will of James Collins

In re: JAMES COLLINS. DECEASED.

This is the last will and testament of me James Collins of St. Annes Placentia Bay Fisherman.

I will devise and bequeath the following sums out of Four hundred and thirty six dollars deposited in the Bank of Montreal at St. John's and a further sum of Four hundred and sixty nine deposited in the Royal Bank of Canada at Marystown. Also the sum of fifty dollars at present in my possession. Said money to be divided as follows after my death.

First. To my wife Margaret Collins I bequeath the sum of One hundred dollars.

Secondly. The sum of Fifty dollars is to be given to Rev. A Fyme P.P. of St. Kryans for Masses for the repose of my soul.

Thirdly:- A further sum of Twenty five dollars is bequeathed by me to Rev. A Fyme P.P. of St. Kryans to be expended for charitable purposes wherever he the Rev. P Fyme deems charity most needed.

Fourthly: To my grand daughter Clothilda Collins daughter of my son Peter Collins I bequeath the sum of twenty Five dollars.

Fifthly:- The balance of my estate namely Seven hundred and fifty five dollars I devise and bequeath one half each to my daughter Josie Ryan widow of the late Albert Ryan of Presque and my grand daughter Clara Collins daughter of my son James Collins.

I bequeath my other property to my son James Collins.
