In re In the name of God Amen. I George Best of Little Merasheen in Placentia Bay in the Southern District of Newfoundland Planter do make publish and declare this instrument in writing to be my last will and testament hereby annulling and making void all former wills and codicils by me made or cause to be made. First. I give devise and bequeath unto my two sons Charles Best and Samuel Best all property of whatsoever description and wheresoever situate that I may be possessed of or entitled to at the time of my death subject to and upon the express condition that my said sons Charles Best and Samuel Best do shall and will support maintain and clothe my wife and their mother Ruth Best during the term of her natural life And I hereby expressly declare that all my said property shall be liable for the support and maintenance of my said wife Ruth Best during the term of her natural life and after her death to become the property of my said sons Charles Best and Samuel Best share and share alike. In case my said wife shall marry again all her claim and interest hereunder shall cease and all my said estate shall then become the absolute property of my said sons Charles Best and Samuel Best share and share alike. I hereby nominate and appoint my said sons Charles Best and Samuel Best executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I the said George Best have hereunto subscribed my hand and set my seal this fifth day of November Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and seventy four.
