Will of Ellen Burke

In re: ELLEN BURKE. DECEASED

This is the last will and Testament of me Ellen Burke of Little Placentia in the Southern District of the Island of Newfoundland, widow. I give devise and bequeath all property of every description of which I may die possessed to my daughters Eliza wife of Patrick Dunphy, Alice wife of Edmund Hawley and Catherine wife of John Dunphy to be equally divided amongst them share and share alike And I appoint Charles H. Emerson of Saint John’s Barrister at Law to be the Executor of this my last will and Testament.

In witness whereof I the said Ellen Burke have hereto subscribed my name this 26th day of July Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and ninety eight Ellen Burke Signed Published and Declared by the said Testator as and for her last will and Testament in the presence of us who, at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses Jas P. Blackwood Charles H. Emerson
