Peter Barry deceased Red Island Sept 18th 1917. I Peter Barry in order to settle the succession to my means and estate, and to prevent all disputes there(?) after my death do legate and bequeath to and in favor of my son Thomas my Dwelling House and Store situate on the hill half of the stage situate on the beach, the other half of stage to my grandson Peter Barry, All the land now owned by me situate on the hill and 2 gardens outside of beach also for my son Thomas Barry all my property namely 4 codnets 3 Herring Nets & Dory also for my son Thomas Barry Fifty Dollars in money to be given to my grandson Peter Barry five hundred dollars in money for my son Thomas Barry four hundred dollars in money for my son Patrick Barry two hundred dollars in money for my wife Elizabeth Barry if she want it, that is if she should be leaving the home one hundred & fifty dollars in money to my daughter Elizabeth Lamb six sheep for my son Thomas Barry the remainder of the place not mentioned and now in my possession for my grandson Peter Barry Given under my hand this 18th day of September in the year of Our Lord 1917 Peter his X mark Barry Witness Garrett Ryan John his X mark Corrigan Correct William F.
