Andrew Whelan deceased In the name of God Amen. This is the last will of Andrew Whelan Jerseyside Placentia [Merchant] 1st. I give devise & bequeath to my nephew Andrew Whelan the sum of fifty dollars $[50.00]. 2nd. I give devise & bequeath to Mrs. Plozast the sum of $50.00 "fifty dollars" 3rd. I give devise and bequeath thirty dollars [30.00] for masses. 4th. The balance of my estate consisting of:- one Insurance policy No. 837 877 in The Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York for $1000.00 [one thousand dollars] also cash in Savings Bank amounting to $2030.88 [Two thousand & thirty dollars .88] also any other goods or cash I may possess I give devise and bequeath to my son Thomas Whelan, including one thousand three hundred & seventy-seven dollars .25 in Bank of Montreal I hereby appoint Thomas Whelan [my son] Executor of this my last will.
