John J. Miller deceased

Know all men by these presents that I John J. Miller of Mussel Harbor Placentia Bay Newfoundland Planter fisherman being of sound mind and memory to make and declare this my last will and testament:

First- I give, and bequeath to my son John A. Miller his choice of half of the Waterside property land and building stores flakes etc. thereon, also two cod traps, two cod trap skiffs, three herring nets, one herring Seine, one caplin Seine, two dories, oars etc. also puncheons barrels and all other fishing gear and appliances used at the fishery which is now on said property to become the property of my son John A. Miller. Also I give and bequeath to the same John A. Miller all my land property situate at Hunt's Cove in Hr Arm, and also all the land property situate in Mussel Hr lying South of his dwelling house, also his dwelling house and land that it is now on.

Second. I give and bequeath to my daughter Flora Miller my dwelling house and all furniture and contents and the land surrounds the house, also the land situate in Garden Cove, and half of the Waterside situate at Mussel Harbor now occupied by me.

Third. That it is my will and wish that my wife Anne Miller is to have house room to live in said dwelling with Flora for her natural life time or while she remains a widow.

Fourth. That I give and bequeath to my son John A. Miller, and Flora Miller [my daughter] all money that may be in Bank or deride from Life Insurance to be divided equally between both of them, or half each.

Signed John J. Miller. Signed sealed and declared by the said John J. Miller as his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses hereunto. Robert A. Hayes. W.M.C.K.
