IN RE: GEORGE HATCHER. DECEASED
I, George Hatcher Fisherman of Woody Point, Bonne Bay N.F. being of sound mind hereby make my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former dispositions of my property. I give and bequeath to my dear wife Catherine, for her life time, and after her death, I give and bequeath to my dear wife Catherine, for her life time, and after her death. I give and bequeath to my son Joseph Philip my dwelling house and contents, my cattle and sheep, Barns, stores, wharf, Boats and all my freehold land situate between Mr L. Neville on the western side and Mrs T Halfyard on the Eastern side as well as the freehold land situated at the rear of the above named property, bounded on south by main road on north crown land on west by Mr Hollahan's land and on east by Mr Noel's land as well as one half of my freehold land situated at Winterhouse Brook, the said piece to be the rear portion. I give and bequeath to my son Samuel, the remaining or front half of my freehold land situated at Winterhouse Brook, and that the said son Samuel always to give a road way to the rear portion of this property only for the benefit of those to whom the said land is bequeathed. I further charge my wife and my sons Samuel and Joseph Philip and their successors, if any that on no account is the land to be sold, mortgaged or disposed of in any possible way, but that the land is always to be held in the family of Hatcher. In failure of issue to my sons then I give instruction to my dear wife that she may will the whole of the said property, held by me to either or any of my daughters, provided that on their marriage their husbands take the surname of Hatcher George Hatcher his x mark witnessed by us this 6th day of April 1900 Charles W Hollands Douglas M Woodman
