NL GenWebCemetery InscriptionsNotre Dame Bay ~ Twillingate DistrictTwillingate - St. Peter's Anglican Church Cemetery (complete)St. Peter's Anglican Church is one of the oldest wooden churches still in existence in Newfoundland. The main building was erected in 1842, the tower was completed three years later. Bishop Field consecrated the church in the summer of 1845. In 1862 the parishioners purchased the tower bell in grateful appreciation of the bountiful seal harvest of that year. The headstones were read, recorded and transcribed by AMALIE LEWIS TUFFIN, 1998. While I have endeavored to be as correct as humanly possible, there may be typographical errors. Twillingate - St. Peter's Snelling Cove Cemetery (partial)Added by TONYA WARD.
