Will of Thomas Earle

In re: THOMAS EARLE . DECEASED.

I Thomas Earle, of Farmer’s Arm, Twillingate, in the Northern District of the Island of Newfoundland, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of sound mind and memory, do, hereby, give, devise and bequeath to my beloved son Frederick all my land with dwelling house and all other erections thereon, and my boats and all my fishing gear; in short all my property, real and personal whatsoever and where ever situated.

Nevertheless it is my desire that my wife Annie shall remain in my dwelling house in full enjoyment of the privilege of occupying the same with the use of all the furniture therein as long as she remains single, but should she marry again then my said wife Annie shall forfeit her right to remain in my home, and at the date of such marriage, should it occur, my son Frederick shall immediately come into possession of my said dwelling house with all the rights and privileges of ownership.

And to the foregoing end and purpose I hereby nominate and appoint Robert Rice J.P. Executor of this my last Will and Testament. THOMAS his X mark EARLE
