In the name of God Amen, I Samuel Woolfreys of Mortons Harbour within the District of Fogo, in the Island of Newfoundland, Planter, being of advanced age, but of sound mind, memory and understanding, and considering the uncertainty of my life, do make this my last will & testament, that is to say, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Woolfreys my fishing room in which I now dwell at Mortons Harbour, together with all my property therein attached or belonging, that is to say one half of the boats, seines, nets & fishing utensils of every description in my possession at the time of my death, the other half belonging to my son Robert Woolfreys: Also I give to her my dwelling house on the said fishing room and all other buildings thereon together with all my lands and gardens at Mortons Harbour, also my dwelling house & gardens at Chance Harbour in short, whatever is justly mine at the time of my death to be enjoyed by her during the term of her natural life only. It is further my will that on the death of my beloved wife above named the whole of my property herein bequeathed to her during her life shall then become the property of my son Robert Woolfreys and of his heirs, executors or administrators for ever, excepting such items as shall hereinafter be mentioned, that is to say,

I give to my son Samuell Woolfreys my large Bible and my watch, and to my two daughters Mary the wife of Edward Bartlett and Ann Osmond the wife of Joseph Osmond the remaining portion of my books equally between them, also to each of them the sum of twenty shillings to be paid out of the property herein bequeathed to my son Robert Woolfreys to whom I give all my debts dues and claims, viz to my son Robert aforenamed And I hereby appoint constitute and ordain John Colbourne Senior of Twillingate and Edward Britt also of Twillingate Exectutors of this my last will and testament utterly disallowing & revoking every other will testament legacy bequest and executor by me at any time heretofore named, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament-
