Will of Samuel Newman
Newman Samuel. Last will of

The last will and testament of Samuel Newman of Twillingate. I give devise and bequeath to my son James Newman all my right title and interest in and to that waterside premises I now occupy situate on the North side of Twillingate Harbor together with my dwelling house stores outhouses cellars gardens wheresoever situate fishflakes my half of the wharf and all appurtenances thereto connected my feather bed bedding and wearing apparel to my son James Newman for his own absolute use and benefit forever

Second I give and bequeath to my daughter Hannah Harbin wife of Joseph Harbin my gold watch for her own absolute use and benefit

Third my household goods and furniture remaining in my house and not otherwise disposed of I give and bequeath to my two daughters Hannah Harbin wife of Joseph Harbin and Lavinia French wife of Jonah French to be divided in equal shares between them and I nominate constitute and appoint my son James Newman sole executor to this my last will and testament.

Dated this 29th day of December, eighteen hundred and ninety three.

Signed by affixing his mark sealed published and declared by the said Samuel Newman the testator as his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other hath hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses having been first read over and explained in my presence as well as in the presence of the subscribing witnesses Dec. 29th 1893.
