Will of Samson Whalen

IN RE:   SAMSON WHALEN.    DECEASED

Badger Brook Aug. 11/11 I Samson Whalen being in Sound mind do make this my last will and testament. I give and bequeath to my wife Caroline. Twelve hundred dollars. And to each of my sons named as follows Walter, Pierce, Baxter, Frank Lemuel. The sum of Two (2) hundred dollars each I further give and bequeath to my wife Caroline, all lands and property in my name for her use during her life time

After her death to revert to my sons if any living The property Lands may be sold during my wifes life time but not with out the consent of my sons then living. The monies from which Sales shall then be divided as follows one half to my wife the remainder to be divided equally between my sons then living I also appoint as my executors Benjamin Tulk and Andrew Porter for the faithful performance of this my last will and Testament S. Whelan

Witness eleventh day of August nineteen hundred and eleven Badger Brook Hugh H. Wilding Cole Andrew Porter witnessed in the presence of each other Benjamin Tulk.
