Will of Robert Gillett

In re: ROBERT GILLETT DECEASED

In the name of God Amen I Robert Gillett of Farmers Arm, South Island Twillingate, and now residing with my daughter Fanny Bath at the French Beach in Burnt Island Tickle do hereby made this my last will and Testament to which I appoint Frederick Bath and William Pond executors. That property and land, with all upon it in Darrell’s Arm, which has been purchased by me from various parties I give and bequeath as follows:-

The ground which was formerly Slades Room, to my son Robert Gillett with all gardens fishing room and houses thereto belonging. That part which I purchased from Thomas Lodge, to my grandson Charles, son of James Gillett now occupying the same. The dwelling house, lately purchased by me which stands near the Methodist School I give and bequeath to my daughter Fanny Bath for her sole use and benefit, to rent or otherwise dispose of as she may desire.

To my son Robert Gillett I also give a bed, a watch, and a box of tools. To my daughter Fanny Bath. I also give a looking glass; and whatsoever money I may be possessed of at my decease, for her care of me in my declining years; whether the same be in my own possession, or in any other hands whatsoever witness my hand and seal this eighteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety one.
