Transcriber’s Note: The will index gives the probate year, for this will, as 1885, but it is filed chronologically with wills from 1886.

Christopher Meek deceased.

In the name of God Amen.     I Christopher Meek, Clerk in Holy Orders of Fogo Newfoundland being of sound mind & memory do make & declare this my last will & testament     That is to say, all I die possessed of I leave to my dear wife Loveday Meek for her sole use & benefit-     In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-     Christopher Meek. (LS)     Signed, sealed, pronounced and declared by the said Christopher Meek as his last will & testament in presence of us who in his presence & in presence of each other have hereunto set our hands as witnesses this 2nd day of August A.D. 1880,     Thos. D. Hodge,     Charles Gard.
