In the name of God Amen,     I Patrick Brian of Tilton Harbour in the Island of Fogo being sick of body but of sound disposing mind and memory doth make this my last will and testament in the presence of the underneath persons     1st I give and bequeath to my best beloved wife Margret Brian my dwelling house with the furniture and all materials belonging to it my cattle and gardens during her life and after her life to be give to my son Cornelius Brian-     2nd, I give and bequeath to my beloved sons Daniel and Cornelius Brian my whole property equally, saying, schooner, boats, seines & land property &c,     3rly I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Ellen Brian the sum of thirty pounds and to my wife thirty pounds of the money lying on the hands of Messrs. William Cox & Co.     I possess a piece of ground bounded on the one side by widow Meehan and on the other side by the widow Coleman, which place I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ellen Brian.     Given under my hand, Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of this 24th day of February 1860, Patrick his X mark Brian (LS)     Witness, Thomas Kennedy, John Geany, Patrick Foley.
