JOHN JAMES MANUEL deceased.
Know all men by these presents that I John James Manuel of Jacksons Cove Notre Dame Bay Newfoundland Trader being in poor health but of sound and perfect mind and memory do make this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time made heretofore First my will is that all my just debts at the time of my decease be paid out of my estate and further I will, give and bequeath to my wife Alice Manuel my land situated at Jacksons Cove Newfoundland aforesaid as per Grant by me now held except eighty the width of feet bounded by Charles Batstone land from the water to the Salvation graveyard that is eighty feet wide from Charles Batstone’s boundary which I have already given to my adopted son known as Victor Manuel his right to which I now confirm And to my wife Alice Manuel aforesaid I will give and bequeath my dwelling house with furniture therein also my stores wharves and all other erections on my aforesaid granted land at Jacksons Cove with the exception of any erections on the eighty feet aforesaid given and bequeath hereby to my adopted son Victor Manuel as aforesaid Charles H. Emerson Registrar of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland (Listed in the margin of this will) Fiat Novr 3/16 C.J. Probate Novr 4/16 granted to Saml J. Blackler Estate sworn at $2308.00 |
