Henry Clarke deceased.
Know all men by these Presents, That I Henry Clarke of Smiths Harbor in t he District of Twillingate Newfoundland labourer being of good health and of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament., hereby revoking all former wills at any time made by me I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Roberts, all my wearing apparel my chest and feather bed after my death to her for her sole use and benefit as to my land and other property at Smiths Harbor in the District of Notre Dame Bay N.f.l.d. aforesaid I give devise and bequeath with all the erections and other property thereon to Alan C. Goodridge Esq of St. John’s N.f.l.d. for his use and benefit his heirs and assigns for ever And I hereby appoint Samuel J. Blackler of Nippers Harbor N.D. Bay N.f.l.d. executor of this my last will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twelfth day of November A.D. one thousand eight hundred and ninety eight Henry his X mark Clarke. signed by the said Henry Clarke as his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto S.G.
