Will of Charles Batstone

IN RE:   CHARLES BATSTONE.    DECEASED

May 18th. 1925.

To whom it may concern: That I Charles Batstone of the above named place being of sound mind and reason do in my last will and testament, do bequeath unto my wife, (after all lawful debts being paid) half of my money, the other half to be divided amongst the sons and daughters.

All property belonging to me, I bequeath to my youngest son Lemuel, with the exception of the house which I bestow to my wife until her death, after which the said house to go to my youngest son Lemuel.

Off the land bequeathed to Lemuel, should my oldest son Arthur wish to reside at the above named place, sufficient of the said land is to be at his disposal so as to make it possible for him to reside here.

I further hereby constitute & appoint my wife Hannah Batstone & my son Arthur to be executrix & executors of this my last Will and Testament.

I do further bequeath that portion of land at S.W. Arm Green Bay Nf which as per grant is jointly owned by me & Henry Meddleton, the grant of which is in possession of the latter, to my oldest son Arthur. It is understood and my sole wish that in order for my youngest son Lemuel to have the full ownership of the property bestowed to him in the foregoing, he is to look after his mother as long as they both he or her shall life live. It is also understood that of the property bequeathed to Lemuel, the Codtrap, if same should be sold at any time, half of proceeds shall go to my wife.
