In re: ARTHUR PITTMAN. DECEASED. Will and last Testament of Arthur Pittman ex Soldier, native of Pilley’s Island, N.D.B. Nfld. Now patient at the Sanatorium. Topsail Road, St. John’s Nfld. March 6/22
I, Arthur Pittman, of the town of Pilley’s Island, in the Island of Newfoundland, being in sound ITEM. I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved mother, Eleanor Pittman, the sum of Three hundred and three dollars and fifty three cents, with interest ($303.53) that may accumulate at the Bank of Montreal, St. John’s, Bank Number 18072, together with my Insurance Policy of one thousand dollars. ($1000.00) held by me with the Confederation Life Association of Canada, No. 151.950. Dugald Munn, local agent at St. John’s, together with all moneys due me by the Dept of Militia, St. John’s, Newfoundland. ITEM. My personal belongings to be collected from Mrs. E Pike, Franklin Avenue, by my executor & forwarded to my mother, Pilley’s Isld. ITEM. My darling mother will act as she sees fit in the distribution of my other property, such as clothes, books and other things that I may have about me. ITEM. I do hereby nominate my friend & life comrade, James Butler, 71a Springdale Street, in the Electoral District of St. John’s West, to be the executor of this my last will and testament. Signed, sealed and declared by Arthur Pittman, the above testator, as and for his last will and testament, in the presence of us who at his request, in his presence, and in the presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names as witness. |
