Will of Arthur James Gillett
IN RE: ARTHUR JAMES GILLETT. DECEASED I, Arthur James Gillett, of Farmers Arm, Twillingate, South Island in the Northern District of the Island of Newfoundland, being of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament, in manner and form following, that is to say:- I. I direct my Executors to sell to best advantage my schooner, traps, boats, nets and all other articles used by me in connection with the fishery, and deposit the proceeds in the Bank to be used as hereinafter provided. II. I give and bequeath unto my three sons Edward George Frazer Gillett, Cecil William Gillett and Arthur James Gillett the money accruing from my Life Insurance Policy in equal shares, each to receive his part when he arrives at the age of twenty one. III. I give and bequeath unto each of my daughters on their marriage the sum of twenty-dollars. IV. All the rest of my money deposited in the Banks or elsewhere, I give and bequeath to my wife to be used in the support of my family, but if my wife re-marries she forfeits all claim upon the said money, and in that case or in event of her death, my executors are to use the money unexpended for the support of my children until my son Edward George Frazer becomes of age. V. My lands, dwelling-house and its contents, Stores Stage and water-side premises, I give and devise unto my three sons above named in equal shares when they arrive at the age of twenty-one years, but my wife so long as she remains my widow, and my daughters until they marry are to peaceably occupy the same. VI. In case of the death of one or more of my sons then the remaining son or sons is to have the part devised or bequeathed to the deceased son or sons in equal shares, that is should my son or sons die before reaching the age of twenty-one years. VII. All the rest residue and remainder I give, devise and bequeath unto my three sons above named for their sole use and benefit. VIII. I hereby appoint and constitute Charles White, Notary Public, and ~~Roland Gillett~~ my son E. G. F. Gillett to be the executors of this my last will and testament; and in consideration of the trouble imposed upon my executors, I give and bequeath to each the sum of thirty-five dollars. IN RE: ARTHUR JAMES GILLETT. DECEASED

I, Arthur James Gillett, of Farmers Arm, Twillingate, South Island in the Northern District of the Island of Newfoundland, being of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament, in manner and form following, that is to say:-
