Robert Stockley deceased

I, Robert Stockley of Harts Cove, Twillingate South Island District of Twillingate. Dominion of Newfoundland being of sound mind and memory, do hereby revoke all wills, Codicils and other testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me and do declare this to be my last will and testament. 

1st. I give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife, Lucy Stockley, my dwelling house, stores, outhouses, gardens, and all my room, for her use during her life, and at her death, I give and bequeath to my son Harry Stockley the said dwelling house, stores, outhouses, gardens and room, with appurtenances thereto belonging or usually enjoyed therewith, who with his wife and family shall live and reside on the said premises as heretofore, using it for his use and benefit during my wife's life, he the said Harry Stockley to look after his mother the said Lucy Stockley during her life. My household furniture, beds and bedding linen, china, and chattels of every description in the house for the benefit of my wife, Lucy Stockley, my son Harry Stockley, his wife and family, and after my wife's death, all of the aforesaid shall revert to my son Harry Stockley for his heirs 

2nd. I give devise, and bequeath, to my son Harry Stockley all my fishing property consisting of boats, motor engine, nets, and all other fishing gear, all fishery produce now in my possession or that may be in my possession at the time of my death, he the said Harry Stockley to pay all my just debts, and the remainder or remainders to be for his sole use. 

3rd. I give, devise, and bequeath to my son Harry Stockley for his sole use all the residue of my estate [if any] I give, devise, and bequeath to my son Harry Stockley, his heirs for his and their sole use, and behoof forever. Lastly I appoint William Ashbourne J.P. and Charles D. Mayne J.P. both of Twillingate to be trustees and Executors hereof to this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand, by affixing my mark, it having been first read over and explained, affixed my seal this 7th day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen. Robert Stockley X his mark. Signed and sealed by the said Robert Stockley, by affixing his mark in the presence of us, present at the same time, who in his presence and in the presence of each other subscribed our names as witnesses.
